Enter The Matrix

To understand the plot of Matrix Resurrection, you must first understand the Matrix universe and learn a few things. Let me give you a piece of trivia: Among all the science fiction or science fiction films created in the previous century, The Matrix's premise ranks third among the most exact theoretical movies that have been or will be true in the near future. Terminator and Space Odyssey 2001 are the other two films. The key reasons for the Matrix's longevity are outside of the mind-blowing scientific premise and eye-catching visual graphics, the philosophy, vision, and symbolic inner massage of deceit. Let's try to learn a few layers in a quick and straightforward way.

Religious aspects of the Matrix

The Matrix film touches on certain fundamentals of Islam and Christianity. There was a magnificent ordered existence in heaven at the beginning of creation, with a mixture of people and angels. Azazel or Iblis had already been exiled from paradise for refusing to obey Allah's order to prostrate. Then the devil entered heaven by using his various tricks. By eating the forbidden fruit, the first mother Eve and through her, the first father Adam descended from heaven as the first man & woman in the world. As a result, we must all descend from heaven to our mother's womb. But how do we survive in the womb of our mother? We survive in the mother's womb by connecting the umbilical cord until we are born, immersed in liquid oxygen. That cord is the first thing that is cut when we are born in this world.

Now, compare the following theological topic with the Matrix story. A group of individuals in a computer-generated illusionary world feel at ease with the Blue Pill. Some invaders from the outside eventually make their way inside that world. Meanwhile, Neo is accompanied by a lady named Trinity to Morbius. Morbius gives the red pill to him. And 'Neo' awakens in a birth pod, his body encased in different tubes. As soon as the pipe was released, he was thrust into the actual world.

Revolutionary aspects of the Matrix

The Matrix may be seen as a narrative about a revolution against feudalism, whether the oppressive king deceives the people with his kingdom's scientific code and leeches everything from them. One day, a stranger sneaked into the kingdom. One or two persons are rescued from the king's coding of scientific gear. And then there was the revolution against the king. The Matrix is basically a story of gaining people's freedom by fighting against imperialist authority. We can say, Lenin, Che, and Castro are examples of the Matrix.

Technological Aspects of the Matrix

In the year 2021, because of the way virtual reality has overtaken us, real-life might often appear to be a sham. Our real lives are clearly lost due to the pressures of movies, series, games, videos, social media, and other forms of entertainment. We have thousands of internet friends, but there aren't even two in real life. We can cuss hundreds of times on the keyboard, but we can't express four things to someone face to face. When someone different from us seeks to take us out of our introverted narcissistic lives, he becomes so lame & backdated in our eyes. Because the world on the outside is so harsh, we don't want to leave our comfort zones. In its brief existence, Matrix Resurrection has essentially attempted to show us the mechanical lifestyle we are living day by day.

The Matrix Resurrections in Brief

Let's start the review of the movie Matrix Resurrections (2021). The Matrix has several more features. Capitalism, economics, communism, extroverts, introverts, techies, non-techies, whatever the age, era you are from, the Matrix will somehow connect you to it. To see 'Realism,' all you need is a lot of time and the correct eye. However, let's stop the serious discussion about the Matrix. Now the thing to know is what really happened to The Matrix Resurrections, the 4th installment of the series which was released after 18 years. And whether it really deserves to win the hearts of fans like the other episodes of the series.

Simply saying, fans will be disappointed to see this installment of the series. Warner Bros. has forcibly made this movie using the Matrix brand name to just make money, which has tarnished the image of the whole Matrix franchise.

Weak Story

The biggest problem with this movie is its weak plot. In the 21st century, this type of weak story can't be accepted in the name of the Matrix franchise. The first 30-40 minutes of the movie were terribly slow. Anyone can feel a little annoyed. The earlier movies of the series were very fast-paced. Compared to that, the slow storytelling of this movie was not acceptable in any way. Depending on the type of movie, this slow start weakens the movie's whole storytelling process. The story of the movie could have been better. There is a twist in the movie. Again, in some places, the story of the movie seems predictable. But the last 40 minutes were particularly good.

Disappointing Casting & Acting

The other weakest was the casting of the movie. Agent Smith and Morpheus starred in the first 3 Matrix movies, 'Hugo Weaving' and 'Laurence Fishbourne' respectively. The actors in this movie were not even close to the way they acted. Jonathan Groff and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who played Agent Smith and Morpheus in this movie, did not show much power in these two characters. The two opposite characters seem more vulnerable. Yahya Abdul is very annoyed with the character of Morpheus; the character of the new Agent Smith is not good either. Agent Smith and Morpheus could have been presented more powerfully.

There were a few more characters in which the actors who played the roles failed miserably. But Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne-Moss and Priyanka Chopra have done well. It would have been nice if Carrie Anne-Moss had a little more screen time. Jessica Henwick's character was average. But it was interesting to see her action sequences.

Keanu Reeves Wasted

Keanu Reeves looks like John Wick, not Neo. Keanu's most urgent need is to change the cutting of her long hair. He most likely can't get out of his John Wick personality. Due to this, his acting is also having a damaging effect. His performance in this movie is not like that of the earlier Neo character. It seems that Keanu is being forced to act.

Average Actions

There was no innovation in any sector of Matrix Resurrection this time. The choreography of the action sequences was awful, though the movie's VFX and action scenes were outstanding. I especially like the actions of Keanu Reeves and Jessica Henwick. However, for those who are big fans of the earlier 3 movies, the action of this movie will not be able to satisfy them very much.

Conclusion of The Review of the Movie Matrix Resurrections

Overall, one of the things I like about this movie is that it will make you nostalgic by showing some clips of the earlier movies, but it doesn't seem very appropriate to many. Overall, the movie did not live up to its hype. But it didn't feel bad at once. So, for those who are hoping to go to the theatre and watch the movie, if you have any suggestions, watch the movie while sitting at home on HBO Max. It will save you both time and money. In the end, this review of the movie The Matrix Resurrections (2021) is based on our personal observation.
